Borderlands 2 is Claptrap leading you by the nose from meme to meme. It's literally an internet meme themepark for the first hour of the game.
Going back and playing it, does anyone even remember what half of the memes in BL2 even meant? I fucking forgot what Double Rainbow was supposed to be about.

But double rainbow was kind of big at the time i guess, it's completely forgotten now except by normies.It was also not something you were ever lead to, you had to find it yourself. It wasn't hard to find, but no quest every brought you there.

It was a RT meme that they tried to push because the person who made it was on their payroll. So they nudged people in the industry they knew to make a big deal out of it so people who researched it would come back to RT. They talked about it on a podcast some.
