I'm only silver 2 but I play on my friend's smurf account sometimes as a gold 4 and it's actually easier as the gold because silver has so many smurfs it's ridiculous. Plus the update making a lot of the golds into silvers makes it even harder to find a game with people my skill level.

The core game in DB is great -- it's just a modern version of WET, and the game technically is still in betaafter 2 years of closed alpha and 2 years of closed betaand it has been getting slow but steadily better.
The only thing holding the game back greatly is the lack of custom servers and community maps, especially since SD's mappers are complete shit. I doubt they'll ever cave and give us servers, but I really hope they at least let the community submit their maps to get put into the game. It's not like they need to release tools for it, since it's a UE game.
There's also the issue of super slow updates, from the DB team only having two programmers -- everyone else is still working on Gears DLC, or something, so the bottleneck hasn't been lifted from the DB team.

They fixed the ranking system. It got out of wack for some reason so they forced it back into the natural curve that it was in since the game released. You were only LEM because you got 'welfare ranks' as people call it. You're even still playing against the same people, for the most part, but now the people who actually belonged at the higher ranks don't have to deal with your shit and get to enjoy more competitive games.
All they did was fix it so the rank you see is actually correct.

Penetration damage is another ayylmao part of this game. 2mm metal in the paper room on cs_office? Who gives a fuck, AK-47 will do 7 points of damage instead of 27 (that fucking metal shelf must be made of titan or some shit).
