I find his first form way harder, only got to his second form a few times so far and only died both times because i forgot to heal before his lightning attack. I keep fucking up his first form though. His parrying window is really weird, and most of the time I get hit by him when I do it

First form is pretty easy to parry, plus heavier weapons will stagger him in 2 hits, and you can use the loch shield to block the lightning

Agreed, his swings tend to go on around him, sometimes I would nearly do a 360º around him and would still get hit. To his second form, I mostly died to his area attacks due to not healing in time.

Fight him in the open water, you can't drown. Lightning always starts at the corpse of Kos going 'out' in every direction, the farther form the corpse you are the easier is it to avoid by simply walking a bit to the side.

Exactly. For me personally I find the big monsters pretty easy after I observe their patterns, but human-like enemies very challenging.
Same thing happened in Artorias with both Artorias himself and Manus. The first being an extremely grueling solo fight for me, and the latter being relatively painless.
Obviously the Cainhurst Crow is a huge pain in the ass for me on every playthrough.

I had such a stupid time with him on NG+, got through his first form easy because half of his attacks let me backstab him, managed to get a backstab off of him after he transformed, then he summoned lightning which let me get two charge attacks in (the second of which counted as a backstab, must've been immune for the lightning summoning period) and finished him off with my no bloodtinge +0 pistol. The stupidest. Saw cleaver's backstabs are crazy
can someone explain how the nightmares work for me. The first dream was Nightmare Frontier made for unknown reasons The second dream was the hunters nightmare to punish them for their involvement in Fishing Hamlet. Third is MIcotash to save/study Mergo. Hunters Dream was made by Gerham and MP to cancel out the Hunters Nightmare and create a safe haven for them in exchange for doing MPs work.
So the Hunters in the hunters Nightmare. Are the copys of the hunters that lived or is like a niche hell and their souls are trapped there?
