Yeah what ever team is working on Ultra Smash dropped the ball hard possibly the worst Mario spin off roster ever. Unless they do a DLC pack like MK8 and give of more character I have no intent on picking up the title.

nintendo has gone full jew with their game pricing since 7th gen. Back in the gamecube days, you could get GCs for 100 bucks (and towards the end of its lifespan, they were 100 bucks + a bundled new game). And there were all those excellent players choice titles that went for 10-20 bucks standard a year after release.
Then starting with the wii, they started hording their shekels and keeping games at ~50 bucks even though they've been out for years. Fucking bullshit.

I bought it at GS for $35 new. Still have the receipt and everything. I had been spotting it on Amazon for slightly over that for a long time too. The only reason I could see the price skyrocketing is supply running out because of Smash, and then opportunists coming out of the woodwork to make a buck, like they always do.
