I typically just play against level 9 CPUs (I.E. classic mode), if I can't play in person. I don't like the lag of playing online. You either get lag warriors who have mastered the art of lag and are invincible immortal almighty Jesuses at the game, or shittos who completely suck and die within the first 30 seconds.

Top fucking kek. I had all three other players gang up on me before, and I reported them at some point in the hopes that it would stop. The team-up went on for another three matches before I gave up and left. No one ever got kicked, even though their intentions were obvious.
Oh, but of course, if my character's model just happens to graze another player's, I get kicked for "targeting" them.

I dealt with someone like this who was playing as ZSS. They were awful, so it was easy to KO them, although this retard playing Falcon got in the way most of the time. The kicker is that the ZSS got so pissy over the fact that I kept beating them that even if someone else KO'd me, they would taunt over it.

I was a less autistic version of that when I was 12. I'd come up with all sorts of rules when me and my cousin would play games to "make it more fun".
I'm no Smash expert. I've played all of them, but apart from the original Smash which I played the shit out of when I was like ten, I'd only play them a tiny bit and just fuck off to another game. With Wii U however, I'm really getting into it finally. The biggest problem I've found is that there is just way too much shit going on by default. There are too many fucking items spawning constantly, items were much fewer and less frequent on N64, and all the stage hazards like Brinstar's lava and the Kirby tree were obvious and in your face. Now there's random shit going on in the background that can fucking KO you like that shitty WarioWare level. The game is way more fun on For Glory, but I still like items. I wish there was a matchmaking option that just made items less common, and a For Fun option for 1v1.

A lot easier said than done.
I have managed to take on three people at a time before and win, but when you take certain factors like lag, player skill, stage hazards and item RNG into account, it becomes a lot more frustrating.
You might be busy fighting off one guy, while the other two are closing in while you're pre-occupied.
The whole thing is just a fucked up mess, and I see no reason to have a report feature for these kind of people when it doesn't even work.
