So long as it's interactive, and there is a skill-based challenge to be overcome by the player, it's a game.

As somebody who watches a lot of film, I can never get into these kinds of games because they fail at being engaging games and at being engaging films.
Her Story didn't deserve the awards it got, and it taking home two fucking awards this year was a slap in the face to game developers that worked hard on better products.
As someone who plays adventure games, I thought it was cool too. Loved the crappy computer interface too.
