It had so much potential as a franchise. It was a flawed game but it was fun, comfy as fuck, and relatively engaging.

It had resurrection phials, potions,food, ect. With time slow ability it was basically impossible to lose at that game there is like no way someone could fail at it. I use to try to play through and beat the game without getting any scars though that was challenging.

I played on release so I'm unsure if they fixed it, but they somehow managed to completely butcher the kb+m controls for a game that was already released on the pc with phenomenal controls. The menu system is also much shittier and takes longer to get where you're trying to go.
If that's worth a couple extra costumes and a slightly harder difficulty, go for it. Otherwise, it's the same game.

I would seriously just sit in there, look around, enjoy the music. It was such an escape from real life. For some weird reason it felt like a home of sorts. And the fact that it was abandoned and clearly someone used to live there years ago.
Specifically the one in the hero's guild. And the one at the old lady's cottage.

From what I understood back then is that he knew she was kidnapped but most likely still alive and he went into hero school to save her from the bandits.
So I was confused why he took his sweet time to save her and when I found out what happened to her I was put off from the game even more.

In TLC and Anniversary, there's one key chest that takes all of the keys you currently have to open it. And there's another chest that requires all 30 available keys in the game.
If you don't open that first chest in the beginning when you have 0 keys, you can't get the 30 key chest.

Fable 2 is an incredible game. If it only had a better story and more attractive looking NPC's, the whole experience would be perfect.
I can't shit on that story enough, it breaks every rule of narrative structure. We never see the villain, there's no henchman to act as a proxy, we barely see any impact of the villain on the game world. Lucien is just perpetually off doing his thing except for a handful of missions; It's great that they were trying to write him as a well intentioned but misguided person, but it just didn't work.

The way world saving and hero saving worked meant that in any mission where you had access to a silver key you could get the key, hero save which saved your inventory then restart the mission and get the key again, save again etc. This could potentially give you 30 keys straight out of the Hero place but it was bugged and if you did it more than 10 times your save got corrupted and took forever to load, I'm talking 5 minutes or more for every load.
I still did it 9 times every playthrough because fuck chasing down all the keys, even when I know where they are.

I unironically love 3. The main problem is that the 2nd half of the game is mostly choosing between good karma and money and very rarely actually doing anything. The first half is a lot of fun, but didn't last enough. Most of the side characters are really fun, but you rarely encounter them.

I think Fable: TLC and Fable 2 are pretty decent games. They do a lot of things right but not so much that it was incredibly memorable or inventive. They have kinda goofy lore/environment, decent music, fun but simplistic gameplay, and a good amount of content with minor morality differences.
I don't think I'd go back to it but they were worth beating once.

An archer build with maxed accuracy and multi arrow while equipped with Skorm's Bow (or a Master Bow with 3 piercing augments) is one of the crazy OP builds in the game, and not really that hard to level up to.

It had some great lore this game, I know stuff like balverines and hobbes were just werewolves and goblins but it gave it its own feel. Also the stuff with Jack of Blades and The Court, and the original Archon. There could have been a great series made out of this if they hadn't fucked it up.

What I loved most about Fable 1 and 2 was how seamlessly the control scheme worked to allow you to use the three techniques of melee, bow/rifle, and magic. It was really an excellent combat system core that needed just a wee bit more depth.
