Just got thesepun intendedpuppies and I fucking love them. I've done several runs before but this was the first time I've taken the time to get them cause I thought it was such a waste of time to even attempt. But nah, these things fucking wreck. Favorite weapon so far as I haven't played the DLC yet.
Anyway, favorite weapons? Tips?

Yeah I do to. They're just not fun at all. Very repetitive and the only rewards you get are just ingredients for a next dungeon.
Literally all I did was get myself to the lower pthermeran dungeon and farmed the first layer till I got 9 level four blood things and made my way out.

Ludwig's Holy Blade is fucking cool.
That non-tricked sword is what the longsword from Dark Souls wishes its moveset could be. The fuckhuge sheath stuns enemies too which is fantastic.
It's just such a satisfying weapon to use. I've always loved quality builds in these games.
I'm liking my Whirlygig and Hunter Axe Lost combo.

I had a min-maxed rapier/twin blade build and I did shit damage, then I switched to my first semi strength build and doing wonders with boom hammer. I fucking love boom hammer

I admit that the rapier looks cool, and I like it's ties to the riflespear (in that the riflespear was basically a poorman's rip off) but I never really used it. Too direct. I like weapons that can hit multiple enemies at once. Plus never put anything into bloodtinge so there was that

The problem with the Rakuyo is that Maria uses it in such a badass way that when you get it your hype is all wiped out with how you can do pretty much none of the cool things she did. I would've liked it if you couldve at least given it that blood coating, but nah, FROM decided it'd be a shit weapon
To those that have played the dlc, what do the new beast and kin forms do exactly? Like do they add a new moveset to their corresponding weapons?

beast form buffs the beast meter, kin buffs arcane damage.
anyway, you should see a beast and kin icon in your pg stats
