Depends on how you read the numbers.
This month I bought 2 games. Extrapolated, that's 24 games a year.
However, this month was the only month of the year I bought games. That's 2 games a year. Roughly 8% of our initial estimate.
Continuing on that trend, it can be assumed I've bought 20 games in the past decade. This is actually quite an accurate number by the numbers, as my current physical collection has about 25 games.
HOWEVER, I used to have a collection of about 50 PS2 games that are no longer in my collection. I bought these 7-10 years ago in a much higher frequency.
Worked into a global average, that's 8 games a year, rounded up.
