To be fair you can turn the glowing trail off or on at any point. I personally liked it, it always led you to your current objective, which made exploring a little more fun because you never had to worry about getting lost and never knowing where to go.
Honestly Fable 2 is one of my favourite games from the 7th gen. You'll get people who say the first one or lost chapters is better, but they aren't; that's just salty mustards. It is strange how the second game never got a PC release though, considering the other two did. MS are a bit weird with what they keep exclusive to the Xbox and what they choose to release on the PC.

I was disappointed that the seasons didn't pass except during the story. The way they hyped it up and even in-game it seems to imply that there would be dynamic seasons.

I have a weird issue with Fable 3 where the framerate dips down to 30 from 60 every 5 minutes or so. Alt-tabbing out and back in to the game fixes it for another 5 minutes, when the weird FPS dip comes back.
It is annoying as shit, and combined with the fact that Fable 3 is simply not that enjoyable at all I've never been able to play past 5 hours of that mess.
Does anyone have the same issue or a possible explanation? Googling my problem yielded little results. Although my best guess is a weird memory leak issue.

One day I was playing fable 2 and got a black screen. Restarting the game, I got just to the title screen before the same thing occurred. Tried my friends copy and had the same problem. To this day I haven't completed the damn game because it just will not work on my Xbox.

Oh yeah to add to this post, I had a 100% complete save on Fable 2. DLC and everything. Then about a year ago my Xbox 360's hard drive from 2007 shit out on me. I need to look into some way of recovering the data I had so many game saves. Really wish I would have backed my saves up.

What a great game. Only to be massively let down by fable 3. I made the mistake of hearing Peter Molyneux sweet sweet promises about being a true king. Making decisions for the kingdom every day. Going on a full out war with your kingdom. I still loved the game because you could see the lands of Albion progress through time. There was so much potential just straight up missing from it sadly.

Nah, the spell/mana system in 1 was just better and flourishes didn't give you i-frames. Literally the gameplay was better in 1. In 2 you had to wait until you can fully cast a top tier spell. If an enemy was close, all you had to do was just flourish away.
