MGSV was too ambitious, it wanted to do too much. Maybe Kojima could have pulled it off if Konami was playing ball, but he was pushing for too much during a time when he should have been more careful.
Actually thinking the reason MGSV wasn't finished because they spent too much time doing mocap with Joost is nonsensical.
