I don't think it's a matter of hate for anyone. From all of his actions, he tries to keep the most important parts of a game alive while keeping cinematic and theatrical elements away which is fine for the most part, but at the same time, those actions don't allow for much experimentation or expansion of the Mario universe kind of like how Wario Land/World and Luigi's Mansion have done for examples.
We might only have the Mario RPGs left to see anything done like that in the future, but the future is never certain. It could go any way at this point.

You'll see an increase in stuff whenever she is used in something big like a main platformer or Smash since that's where a lot of the inspiration/motivation to draw a character comes from. I can really say that for any character, but that's how it is though. Just have to hold out for the day.

No, it's because she's a different flavor. Think of them as Peach=Vanilla, Daisy-Choco, Rosalina=Strawberry. First comes Vanilla, which everyone loves because it's the most well known and basic flavor, then comes chocolate which is basically the opposite and it garners it's own fanbase. Now comes strawberry which jumps in out of know where and is shoved in everything despite choco having more history and a larger fan base. Not gonna speak for anyone else here, though I find lewd on /v/ pretty annoying. Not because I'm a puritan or anything, or because of a vendetta towards artists, but because it derails threads in minutes and because there are several more suitable boards to put the art on. I quite like looking at /c/ and /e/ every now and then, and the slow pace means good quality pics stay around for longer and anons don't treat it like a chat room where they throw around their one-liners and sauce requests.
A Daisy thread would do quite nicely on those boards.
