Always wondered if there are any non-Touhou shmups that use the Touhou gameplay style. As in, do they go for flashy/beautiful/intricate patterns with tons of weird bullet types instead of straight up spam? Not saying there's anything wrong with the latter but it's just personal preference.
I've played a CC and Kamui and a few other shmups but 2hu is the one I always come back to, because everything's just so damn elegant.

Played the second 2huvania. Was pretty fun. Other shmups aren't exactly terrible and they can be really good (Final Boss Raw Label was great) but Touhou just has this certain feel or atmosphere or aesthetic that sets it apart for me and it's hard to nail down precisely.
I felt Ten Desires was worse, but I do agree the game being balanced for Point Device was kind of retarded

Lunarians can't do much to them so instead of fighting for their life they go to Gensokyo and plan to "purify" the place so they can live there instead, completely missing the point of why they were attacked in the first place.
Reimu and friends go to stop them, but are tricked into helping them get their place back, in turn they promise not to attack Gensokyo (yeah right). Eirin also drugs them so they can defeat Junko, but that's not really relevant.
Reimu and friends defeat Junko, who had basically already given up.
Then they defeat Hecatia and Junko, they promise to release the Lunarians and they'll drink tea and live in Gensokyo.
The funny part is that when they tell Reimu about the reason they attacked the Lunarians she agrees with Junko (who did nothing wrong)
