So I guess I was only about a generation behind when we first got it, but I remember playing and watching my mom play Kung Fu and Mario. N64 and Gamecube lost in parents' divorce, along with all their games and some GBA games. I got a Gamecube my last Christmas with my mom, the last time I saw her, 10 years ago. I was originally interested in the Xbone for Halo, I only ever played the first, at the time I was getting burned out on FPS games (having spent years playing Quake and Quake 2 on PC and games like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark with friends), Sunset Overdrive also interested me, but not so much that I really want a system just for it.
Only reason I got a PS4 so suddenly was because I got a good deal on it, bought DQH (wanted to play it and support DQ) and wanted to play Disgaea 5, also there's several games coming I'm interested in, but now it's just waiting around.

XB1, Wii U, PS4, you are pretty much paying for exclusives. the multiplats i have are pretty much the same generic AAA trash, fucking fallout 4 lasted me a week and even then i was bored.
im waiting til this E3, last E3 really had nothing amazing that made me glad to own ANY current gen console.
oh and the only reason i own all 3 systems is because i got them cheap off places like ebay and craigslist. i paid $180 for a "broken" XB1 that just needed a reset, came with 2 controllers, 3 games and a kinect and $150 for a Wii U that needed it's parental lock disabled.

My father owned an NES when I was very young so that was my first console experience.
Then my parents split up when I was 5 years old and I ended up getting a Nintendo 64 at my mom and a Playstation at my father for christmas that year. So either of those were my first console I owned myself.
