I bought a 2DS last year just to try things out and see how I like the games. At half the price of the XL it certainly looked like it was worth giving it a shot. My only complaint is the screen is too small for Smash Bros., but one huge positive for me is how well the damn thing fits in my hands. I always I figured I'd upgrade my shit at some point after the N3DS, but I'm going to need a damn good reason to plop down the money for one. I don't care about Xeno, I don't care enough about 3D, I don't need the C-stick/nub/whatever for anything I play, and the overall enhanced performance of the console isn't *quite* enough for me to justify the purchase even with recent Boxing Day sales. I'll only start considering buying a N3DS either when it starts getting exclusives I care about or when the Canadian price drops below $150.

It's the proportions. In the older art, the head, limbs, and cannons were all a bit bigger, whereas the newer art/models have a bigger, rounder body. I'd love to see some newer Pokemon drawn in the old aesthetic.
