Probably one of the greatest Star Wars games ever made - it's a good RPG in it's own right, with interesting characters and an ok story. The writing is a bit cliche, but it's alright.
The second one is much better in every imaginable way though.
the mobile version is better than the shit on steam
I like the game so far, but it seems like its forcing me to be good by starting me with the "good guys" instead of allowing me to have a choice. I just hope that it'll give me a good reason to betray everyone and go to the dark side, not just cause evil lul
also I like how characters with melee weapons actually block and parry when fighting rather than simply hacking at eachother

The Amazon appstore listed this as free if I have Amazon Underground, but the reviews for the app said it was shit, so I went straight to the mobile amazon app and got it free anyway. Is this legit? I feel like I just downloaded some Amazon bug onto my phone, especially because the app icon has some banner across it that says "actually free"

Great game, felt like a bizarre prequel to Mass Effect actually, great straight forward story and setting, doesn't over complicate shit, fun build up to reveal, enjoyed the minigame almost as much as Triple Triad.
Even if you know the reveal going in, you still enjoy the journey up to that point and the hints dropped along the way.

I couldn't get into KOTOR 2, style change at the time right after Kotor was a bummer and I think I was just getting burned out in general, that hour long segment right at the start of 2 on the mining asteroid thing really fucking sucks, took way too long with not a lot happening.
I was basically missing all of my rad crew from Kotor and wanted to be my previous character so badly.
I'll go back to it someday maybe, the cut content and bugs/incomplete comments also didn't make it more appealing.

The only time I've ever bothered raising the difficulty in games is when you actually unlock something or get something extra for it, or it's a case like PoE where the developer "intended" difficulty is higher than default.
Games where skills developed in Singleplayer also apply to Multiplayer is another situation where harder is often better, but again that's getting something out of it that actually does something for you.

Fair enough, I'm use to people not having an answer for why, and then having to watch/listen to them rant about bullshit difficulty in games they threw themselves at because apparently they can't deal with playing on normal (when in reality they're not exactly a prodigy to begin with)
I love a good challenge, but I often found higher difficulty settings are rarely tested or even designed properly in games and if playing that way unlocked nothing anyway, then why bother putting yourself through something that is meaningless within the game it's self.

It's not a meme. It makes better use of force powers and the stat system, enemies are more varied, the story is more complex, characters are better written, levels more interesting, your choices vary, Light Side/Dark Side points actually have a purpose now story wise, instead of just "that one big plot twist where you can choose either despite your previous actions" MemeWare writing.
The game accomplishes where KOTOR failed.
It makes you feel like an actual Jedi.
