I suck at selling games.
You get turned into a vampire of a clan of your choosing without knowing.
Turns out the vampire that turned you didn't ask if they are allowed to do so and get beheaded.
You're left as a baby vamp without a master, get some bare bones instructions and put to work on some jobs for one of the political parties.
The game then resolves around a sarcophagus that maybe maybe not has an ancient vampire in it.
You get to learn about the vampire politics and lore. There are missions like clearing a ghost possed mansion and investigating a snuff film production studio. It has great characters, story and gameplay with extensive skill system based on social, battle and things like lock picking/computer hacking aspects. Very dark, noirish. Two of the clans change half the game.
