That's it, highly overrated
Lots of marketing and bribe money, good presentation, and every aspect of the game was cynically constructed by market research types.
generic tps with formulaic, well executed narrative meant to invoke 'muh feels'
This was the standard setting narrative back in 2013. It seems like so long ago. I doubt TLoU would get the critical success it got in 2013 if it were released in 2015.

I say this every thread now, but if a game you claim is bad is so highly acclaimed and awarded as to be literally "the most awarded video game in the history of the industry", it's significantly more likely that you're simply objectively wrong than everyone else is wrong.
I get it, kid, it's not your type of game and/or you didn't enjoy it. That doesn't stop it from being one of the best video games to ever exist, period. You're not being insightful and cool. Everyone just thinks you're an insufferable contrarian faggot.

It caters to my needs.
Its a good game 2bh but far from being the GOTYAY that the média praised him for.

u really got me fa m ive seen the error of my ways how could i be so blind to see that this generic third person shooter truly is the second coming

HERE WE GO!!!

Everything but two things went right:
1. Gameplay feels barebones on the easier difficulties (somewhat fixed on Remastered having all difficulties unlocked in the beginning)
2. Immersion breakers like bugs where Ellie would run straight into a Clicker, and the general "Clickers and bad guys don't see Ellie just Joel". These problems were less bad on Grounded DLC and Remastered.
Nothing

I'm honestly wondering if I should get this game. I'm thinking no because I got the three Uncharteds after seeing all the praise 2 got and thought they were complete horse shit. Is it a boring cover shootfest like Uncharted? The only cover based shooter I really enjoy is Vanquish.

I liked TLOU and hated uncharted. There's melee combat and basic stealth as well and arenas are large to accomodate both approaches. (bullets are scare on higher difficulties.) The guns have more kick in TLOU as well.
The polish is the only significant part of the game and even that can leave certain undesirable parts of the game left behind. The inconsistencies with zombies react to sounds being made based on it being the player or not. Game play is repetitive and hindered by ladder sections. The zombie genre is not exactly ground breaking and the game doesn't do much to improve upon the decades old ideas it reuses. The whole game is a distilled combination of very safe mechanics, nothing is inherently wrong with doing this as it allows for a interesting story to be told with game play getting in the way, however the game play good just as easily enhance the story, which is something we have all heard in one form or another, by being innovative. The game did not even try to be innovative so in ten or twenty years people will ask why this game was so important and there will be no historical context to give to make the game feel as deeply influential to gaming industry as something like doom.
I have no doubt that it deserved goty, but this is not something that will last because eventually these graphical beauty of the game will be commonplace in games and wont have any weight on how future generations judge this game.

Same. Uncharted bored me to tears but I've beaten TLoU like fucking six times. It's worth a shot, m8. Either rent it or buy it when it's on sale for $20 roughly every other week.
the multiplayer you dumb fucking faggots
best and only sneaking multi since mgo2

>ONE
That could mean anything from top 10 to top 100. Considering how many video games have been made, it easily is one of the best.
