Combat is mediocre but solid. Storywise: If you like Lovecraftian stuff and secret societies you will like it. The best thing though is the questing. Best questing in an MMO. The riddles are actually really good (not always, but most of the time), if you don't look them up on the internet. I would say: Buy it, play through the main story and then leave it. See it as a singleplayer game and you will love it.

Dragons are kind of dumb, but they have a great uniform. Also holy shit I just found out about hunting for secret bosses. The combat is a little boring now that enemies are so easy, but I love the world.

Buy2play, but yes. It has some kind of optional subscription (because of course it has), but you can play the basegame without problems. Extra content (basically expansion) are sold seperatly.
