You get prestige and heavenly chips for ascending, the chips are spent on upgrades, prestige is supposed to increase your cps by 1% per prestige, but right now it increases it by 100% for each prestige.

How many heavenly chips will you get if you ascend? At the very least you want 10, so you can buy the dragon. You want dragon as your first purchase so you can get the dragonflight aura. Early game is kind of rough, you start getting a lot more cookies when you click 77 golden cookies and get all the golden cookie upgrades, that way you can get a golden cookie during a frenzy. The key to maximize that is to have something like 1200 x your cps to get the max amount of cookies from the golden cookie.

You actually want 84,000 x your cps once you get the Get Lucky upgrade, so you get the full bonus from Frenzy + Lucky golden cookies.

Yeah I couldn't remember the actual percentage, maybe I was confused and it's 1200 x frenzy amount, idk. Once you get dragonflight though it's not as important as frenzy + dragonflight results in assloads of cookies.
