Do you guys actually watch people play entire games on Jewtube/Twitch? What do you get from the experience? Even games from Telltale and those pretentious "walking simulators" benefit from the gameplay--regardless of how minimal the input actually is. If you are just looking for a good narrative experience, most films are stronger and more mature than anything in the vidya medium.
I'm probably just getting old...but I don't get this. I would rather play my games with my limited spare time than watch someone else have fun.

I do both at the same time. I dont have the time/money buy/pirate everything that comes out, and often some videos can have some humor and jokes to go around. I'll admit though, most of my usual sources are getting lackluster these days on that front
