It does atmosphere better.

Both are too different too compare really. I like all of them, except Clear Sky, and Metro 2033 redux, it was cool they gave the Nazis their outfits from LL, but man did it really change too much.

This is true, Stalkers zone is nothing but men who have abandoned everything and their only attachment is to the weapon at their side, and their canteen. There is nothing around but bandits, Duty, Freedom and other stalkers, that and hundreds of things wanting to kill you. Metro sure, there's despair, but when you get to Polis, or Venice, or other Stations that have families and a structure of civilization that sense of despair is lifted. That is not the case in Stalker, even at the Bar and other placed. You can still feel sadness in the air.

Agreed, but Stalker was pretty shit so that's not saying much.

Not him but it's pretty cinematic, more so in LL though. Cinematic isn't a bad thing, both Metros have great gameplay, adventure and action. If your entire game though could basically be just cutscenes and gameplay not mattering then that's what /v/ hates really.
