Okay right after i post this, i see someone saying Rage is good.
I played it a while back and really wanted to give it my attention but the Gunplay is the only thing holding it together
the story is confusing, so ignore that
the graphics are headache inducing
the quests are tedious Fetch-quests or skyrim-tier Dungeon clearing (complete with the easy-access Exit door at the end)
the weapons are nice, but i honestly can't remember any. I think there was a pistol..and..uh..shotgun? It's your typical shooter toolset. The only interesting items are like..explosive RC cars and stuff, that was kinda cool
but anyway, i think i remember the voice acting was bad too. How about the Driving mechanics, which..ask you to do Stunts in the wasteland. Let me tell you this isn't Mad Max, and you don't have a lot of room to really move around doing these stunts. Cramped races also take the agency out of the story.

In order of where you should start from where you should finish:

Rawest form of RPG gameplay
>KOTOR
Transition from isometric RPG to 3D RPG
>Fallout 3 & Oblivion
Start with Oblivion to get an idea of how Bethesda does (or I guess did) shit, then go to Fallout to see how their interpretation of a series you already played through in full
