Is there an age where you become "too old" for video games?
I've noticed a lot in recent years that it's become more acceptable to talk about vidya just about anywhere, especially at work. I asked around at my job and after a while I estimated more than half of my department (200+) played video games in some way or another via console or PC ( I excluded games played on a mobile phone ) Now what I found interesting is that my department didn't just make up of 18-25 year old males, no, It was a hugely diverse group of all ages, genders and races. Infact, off the top of my head, I'd have to say the average age was around 30, which does tie in with articles online about the average age of a gamer.
As long as nothing prevents it, we'll be in our 60s one day, will you still be gaming then?

I think the main problem is that a lot of people just dont get it. Yes, games are made for 18-25 year olds.... but they are made by 30-60 year olds. Most music aimed at teens is created by people in their late 20's/early 30's, even "teen" actor/actresses are usually in their 20's... fuck, at the end of Smallville, Tom Welling was 34 playing a 21 year old.Gwen Stefani was 75 when she started No Doubt
It's all relative. Age is just that, an span of time. It doesnt set your mental state, or what you believe in, or who you are. Just because I'm going to turn 37 in 2016 doesn't mean I'm going to enjoy my hobbies or my craft any less. The only thing that gets tacked on with age is responsibility. Everything else is a crapshoot.
