A lot of ways. The primary one being the temptation of Early Access and producers. Make no mistake, this game could bomb simply because they can't manage their money and end up releasing half the game to fund the other half. I don't want that to be the case. I like collect-a-thons, and there are enough people who do to make this a relative success. But the chance of failure is very real. After all, "Original Rare" didn't make a good game or decision after Conker.

I think it will be a sub par game. Rare is great at making unique and charming characters however the game play is usually bland with unwanted mini games and collections that aren't all that fun or interesting. This will do well with people with nostalgia for banjo but not others.

Actually original rare, as you put it, made the decision for cars in banjo and created grabbed by the gboulies. They did it to try and innovate rather than stick to the same formula. After Banjo nuts and bolts that's when core team members left and Microsoft finally took control and made them make kinect sports.
