Slag off you damn junkie. Don't make me call Lone Star to fuck you up, my dad owns a cooperation you know.

>>321826856
IT's pretty complex, it's like the matrix and inception, the main character gets something called a "Direct Neural Interface" to connect and control their new cyberborg body after this >>321826129 happens to them in a battle.

Because the DNI can interface with machines it means that machines can interface with you and pretty much after you wake up form surgery you can't tell what's real and what's not.

It ends with you trying to purge the DNI and shut it off but even then you trade personalities with your team mate.

Imo anyone who says it's not cyber punk hasn't played it yet.

>>
All I want in life is a next-gen self-insertable rpg with a massive (designed, not procedural) open universe.
It should allow you do go into really complex business-running details if you want to go the EVE rout, but get completely out of your face with no rpg elements if you just want to go walking sim through a cyberpunk planet or wander in space.
Seamless loading with no fast travel, you have to walk to your ship and fly off planet/blast through space yourself in order to get anywhere.
There should be shitloads of ship options PLUS customizable parts, not just a few chassis and linear upgrades.
There should be enough on-planet stuff to do that you don't ever have to touch a ship if you don't want to.
No main quest or quest logs at all, you just start off on a random planet or space station and go wild.
You can be a trader, a pirate, a smuggler, a drifter, whatever you want.

>supposedly that's what Cyberpunk 2077 is supposed to be like if it ever gets released
I'm well aware, they're digitizing a classic tabletop game in which anything was possible.
The issue is that games just aren't there yet, so it's going to be disappointing no matter what.
Besides, I don't think there's going to be space elements in that game, just a large cyberpunk city.

It's not stealthy and hacky like most cyberpunk sure, but MGR is definitely cyber something.

Maybe like High octane cyberpunk
>>
>>321832189
Because a big focus of cyberpunk is lowlives fighting against an oppressive totalitarian government, and has varying levels of anarchy promotion. There's a pretty fine line between cyberpunk and just near-future science fiction, and most of it comes down to the philosophy behind it

>>
>>321827327
Actually you're wrong. You don't trade personalities with anyone. After you get your shit fucked up by that robot, you get a DNI installed and Taylor interfaces with you via his DNI to help you mentally adjust to it. You die during the surgery though and since Taylor's mind with in the middle of merging with yours, you inject yourself in his place in some memories of his. The entire game is pretty much a dying dream taking place in only a few minutes probably, but you perceive it as almost a couple of years. The game ends as the player's mind begins to completely shut down and shit makes much less sense. At the end you accept that you're living Taylor's memories and not your own.
I thought it was pretty cool.

Rock on.
But that means lot's of training and schooling.

And technological growth is exponential (that means slow start but then really fast).

What the private space industry is doing now is selling private corporations the rights to send up their own satellites and build their own networks.

Virgin Galactic wants to put up enough internet satellites that no matter where you are on planet earth you can get an internet connection.

Elon musk just succeed in sending up his new rocket. And in half the time and cost that NASA takes to put their ships in space.

Also the military is waking up tot he fact that the future is now and they are starting to attract people form STEM degrees.

Great training for you if you want to become a space cowboy in the future.
This is going to be the precursor to the CYBERFORCE branch of the military that will be unveiled in a few years. We're keeping it secretive now to get an edge on enemies and yadda yadda strategy.

This here is a recruitment simulated mission ARG

I shouldn't say the military is waking up to the fact, they have always been well aware, but what I mean is they are getting serious about bolstering their STEM forces. It's no longer enough to rely on a few elite scientific groups to maintain an intelligent defense and develop those defenses.

It definitely, 100% incorporates cyberpunk elements on a significant scale. These elements, however, feel tacked on.

At its heart, it's still a shooter about killing terrorists, getting betrayed by sneaky commanders, saving the world and tending to your K/D ratio.

So no, it's not cyberpunk but it does wear the mask for specific (albeit hollow) effect at specific junctures.

Ghost in the shell focuses on rich fucking government agents.

Cyberpunks pretty much open to interpretation. If it ticks a couple of boxes and has the right atmosphere its cyberpunk.

MGR to me isn't because it's tone is different, it doesn't really have a 80's astethic and the soundtracks all off.

Others could completely disagree and that's fine. There's no ruling authority on who decides what is or isn't cyberpunk

You know, cyberpunk/v/ always told me to never fist robot girls, and I didn't believe them. I should have listened.

I went down to the android harem daily, and they just seemed so cute, and the sex was so good. They didn't act like robots, like most of the androids I've met.

Of course, that was before I took a wrong turn, and saw the manufactuoring process. Human brains. That's why they acted lifelike. They weren't androids, they were technically cyborgs.

Of course the Synth Harem corporation will never admit this. Neither will anyone vouch for seeing what I've seen IRL, because we'll be busy letting you fuck our robutts until our battery power runs out, and it's against our programming to tell customers of Synth Harem coporation's trade secrets.

They didn't block us from discussing said things via internet though. We do get decent wifi though, but the user interface sucks.

Also, Wednesday is our two for one deal! See your local store for details! Synth Harem! Androids with the human touch!

...
Also that. Neuro-programmed shilling. I can't leave a post without advertising weekly specials. Whatever you do, don't tell anyone what I just told you, because they might be stupid enough to tell a Synth Harem employee, or you might be stupid enough to tell a Synth Herem employee, or you'll end up being a android girl being fisted by neckbeards, and worse, you'll be programmed to enjoy it.
