I've actually found very few bugs. Nothing blocking progress, no quests breaking, not even any of those stretchy corpses I've seen screenshots of. Just some weird stuff with physics sometimes. It feels like the most stable Beth game ever. Maybe I've just been lucky.

I've run into the same bug several times of terminals not opening doors, with one instance being that the door it should open being the only way to leave the area I was in. So game breaking for me.

So I've been holding off on playing FO4. I know it has tons of problems that can't be fixed (story, RPG elements, dialogue options, etc) but I decided to at least wait a bit so I can play the game in a playable form due to mods.

So are there enough quality mods out by now to make the game enjoyable, or should I wait longer?

Bethesda targets consoles hard with their games and their textures are usually compressed to hell even in the PC release. They're also just generally not that good at programming, animating or modelling. Everything in their games is a bunch of shit duct taped together into a barely functioning state.

He didn't even edit their textures in any graphical way. Bethesda is known for being terrible with their own assets. Remember how every single wooden beam in Skyrim had fucked up UVs? without even getting in close nearly all the textures on structures are visibly blurry. The only place they halfway bothered is with character models, and even their there's terrible stretching on UVs and blurry textures.

The exact same thing happened to me. It turns out, you can just walk through that splotchy texture that's supposed to be a door. Disable/enable doesn't fix it for some reason.

disable just hides things, doesn't actually de-render them, so they are actually still using the same resources, there is a proper function to actually delete something, but i dont think you can bring it back afterwards easily
