How long does it take to beat Bloodborne?
Main game plus optional areas: 40 hours unless you summon and get through areas or bosses without dying
Main game is like 25 hours
Main games plus optional areas plus chalice dungeons is like 60 hours minimum, I myself havnt done all
Buying the dlc gives you an additional 6-8 hours
There is a meme being perpetuated here that bloodborne is short or at least shorter than dark souls which is plain false
There's only like 4 main bosses you have to kill to get to the last boss. 70% of the game is optional areas/bosses.
It's the most non-linear souls game ever.

There are only 7 bosses you have to kill to beat the game and that should take you about 7-8 hours if you go along that path but with the way the game is set up, its almost impossible to not do most of the optional areas and bosses in a blind play through because the areas that seem like progression are actually not and the mandatory areas are kind of hard to find

I'd say the only confusing part is Hemwick Charnel Lane. Other than that, Nightmare Frontier, Cainhurst, and Upper Cathedral Ward are clearly optional.
Although to be honest, in my first playthrough, I didn't find the bottom of Old Yharnam until after the Blood Moon.

Sometimes the little spiders just fuck you over. I generally tend to think Rom is a joke, though.
Gascoigne, Ebreitas, Laurence, and Orphan were the only bosses I truly had trouble with. Ludwig and Abhorrent Beast, besides the above four, were bosses that took me more than two tries to beat, but I still wouldn't call them difficult.

If you hear people complaining about Rom, they're not talking about Moon Lake Rom, they're talking about Chalice Rom. Which is the same fight but in a room about a quarter of the size where every spider is a one hit kill.
Likewise, if someone complains about Amygdala, they don't mean the real Amygdala which is a joke, they mean the faggot Defiled Chalice Amygdala which again, is fought in a room that's too fucking small.
