Just keep doing quests at the outpost. In time you get a new quest that has you creating a set of armor and entering a dungeon

Combat rework has cometh, and its some gucci shit, makes spears amazing, shields good besides just blocking shit and breaking, weapons have secondary fire like bouncing shots and fragment grenades, ya can even go brawler and beat teh shit out of monsters with punching gloves if ya like.
not perfect, but fun for a while. Next update should be vehicles, hopefully modular mechs and such should come.

how recent was this combat rework, because i remember like almost a year ago they "fixed" the combat and it was still just as awefull and floaty as when it first came out, all they did was add shields and some projectiles to enemies, inherently fixing nothing, also ammo being tied to stamina, fucking why.

This game would be fun if it wasn't just grind for the next tier, beat a boss, and repeat.
Also if the devs would stop reworking how the game fundamentally works to appease an angry audience who shouldn't be listened to when you're this far in development and won't stop focusing on balance when you really should be pushing out content you can balance later.
