Its artificial difficulty, the level.
You're given no indication the worm can one shot you, it takes like 99 lightsaber hits to kill, and when you kill it, the game just spawns another one in like a minute. It takes a good 3 or 4 hours to get through that mission.

Easy mission, the only annoying mission in game was the one with X-wing bombarding.
