Been playing the shit out of this since it went on sale yesterday. I think this is probably one of the most underrated titles on xbox one. Such a great change of pace from Halo/COD/Battlefield/Yawn.....

That has been what I have been doing since yesterday...
Meh. I played alot of it on that free weekend months ago but it didn't really click. I would rather have it be a level-based game instead of open world. Nothing really stood out as great level design, it was just rails and shit all over the place.
Writing and dialog was trash, don't need to emphasis this any more.
Gameplay was fun but felt like it was extremely railroaded.

Yeah there were a few memes/references that made me cringe, but the standalone humor is pretty funny. Sunset Overdrive is really underrated, shame we might not see more like it.

It's okay, I remember a lot of people saying it's a good framework for sequels which I agree with.
Personally I'm pretty burned out on these sorts of open world games, it doesn't do a very good job setting itself apart from other games. Like Sunset Overdrive has Tony Hawk Parkour, Infamous has comic book powers, Mad Max has cars, Just Cause has the hook/wingsuit/parachute, etc
They pretty much all feel like the same game with a different gimmick

Yeah the missions are a real drag, hopefully they do better next time and make it more freeform.
Say what you will about MGSV but the fact that you could approach the missions in so many ways was amazing.
I loved it OP. One of the most "gamey" games I've played in years. Felt like something you might have played on PS2, just with the benefits of being on better hardware.
Make sure to pick up the DLCs, they've got some of the best missions and cutscenes. Final boss of the Fizzco one is crazy.

Nah, the character creation isn't as good as Saints Row. If this game ever gets a sequel, sliders, more hairstyles, and much more clothing would be very appreciated.

I'd say they're about on the same level there, but the problem with Sunset Overdrive is that like 70% of the clothes items are locked behind missions and challenges. I say give us a bit more variety in the shops and make the unlockable items a bit more interesting.

its an extremely slow game, if they boost speed was the default speed and there was a faster option it would have been a much more exciting game.
As it is all I did was grind on power lines and shoot I was never in any danger it was a very slow easy game.
If it was faster it would have been harder to shoot and I would have to do more

If you want there is Fast Travel or you can just pushing RB while on rails to go faster if you wish...? The latter I will light up a joint and blaze while my my character grinds there... kinda love the pace actually... Also that travel time lets you build up your style and lvl up your weapons....
