New thread! I'll start it off with a couple of my stages:
Koopa Catastrophe: 1612-0000-0128-EAC5
https://supermariomakerbookmark.nintendo.net/courses/1612-0000-0128-EAC5
Koopa Catastrophe (Lite): AECD-0000-014D-3116

Remember that it takes a while for stages to update on the bookmark site, so don't worry if you get a 404 when trying to see/upload a new stage. If that happens, just input the code manually in the game's search bar, it'll work.
I'm not playing any of your levels.
Or any of the levels that get posted ITT.
No stars from me. Stay mad, fags.
I'll bump the thread but I have to go to work.
>>321759892
Hah that's okay, it's more about sharing and trying new stages (if you want to) than it is about getting stars. Well, for me anyway.
Hey guys, I have returned. Just been away due to the holidays, and making levels for my next medal. I have them all finished now, so I just need the stars to reach my next medal now. Level list is in the picture.
Also, how should I intergrate the new website links for my level lists? I still feel like my current list is still the best setup.
>>321759705
Will play all these levels now.
Gonna monitor this thread and play lots of levels.
>>321760282
Wow that is a lot of stages. I'll get started on some of these right now :)
18 hours later and the Bookmark finally included my third level. Decided to make an easier, more traditional level considering my first 2 are considered difficult. Bookmarking as much levels ITT as I can

>tfw nobody plays your levels
https://supermariomakerbookmark.nintendo.net/courses/DBD0-0000-014E-4C28
Just uploaded a new level called Love Boat. Link not working yet but should eventually.
I really enjoyed your Chasing the Crimson Koopa level. Some of the springs can be finicky, but its still well made.
As for your Koopa Catastrophe levels, when you end up making a "lite" version of one of your own levels, you may want to rethink how you implemented it. Its a nice concept, but enemy spam should try to serve some kind of consistency purpose. If you want to see how to make bad enemy based levels, play 100 Mario expert, and count how many times you have to skip a level cause it starts with a million enemies falling from the sky with no powerups in sight. Even still, I can tell you put in work with the pipe placements, I just really wish I had a power up at the beginning.
Anyone got any spooky levels to post? I love me some spooky levels.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I worked on the lite version earlier today because a few people said that the original needed a mushroom. I've gone ahead and fixed it up a bit to make it an actual "lite" version of the original, so if you're interested in giving it a go here's the code:

Forlorn Factory was amazing. That P-Switch get is hilarious.
Moss Manor was a lot of fun too.
Well played dude, starred.

Cool, thanks.I am glad that you liked it. I have lots of easy levels, but also lots of hard and complex levels as well. All my levels are remakes of levels from the DKC trilogy. I also already have 9 more levels finished for when I reach the next medal. But that won't be for a while, since I am around 150 stars behind.
This is my first attempt at making a real level, I know it's not great but I'd still appreciate some feedback.

Will try playing as many of the levels here that I can.
Is it just me or does no one know how to spin jump? I put a few piranha plants on platforms as mandatory spin jumps and most of the deaths on my stages end up centralized in that area.

Not that bad for a first level. You did good on balancing the number of projectiles and threats on the screen at the same time. Never felt like too many.

Lots of people tend to play levels without knowing all the mechanics for that style.

I am surprised you beat it. The mine cart levels are among my hardest stages. They are fast paced and require fast reaction skills, sometimes needing you to jump many times in a row non-stop. Have fun on your break.
>>321766428
Thanks. I was almost going to cut off the music and just leave the chirps, but I didn't want to plant too many of those sounds and have it get spammy.
I have to give credit to some of the other stages I've seen uploaded in game too. Those where I learned how to make pseudo-trees with mushroom platforms and using the copy and selection tools to control where to put ground tiles that spawn flowers and other background props.
>>321759705

Steamy Mario was fun. The Bowser fight was done great as well.
Day turns Night was fun, but it became impossible to beat. If enough spawns on one screen, you stop getting fire flowers or boots from the pipes.
Pain Hall is in expert cause of a single reason. Its too much to deal with at once, and tanking through it isn't guarenteed to work, even though it seems the only way. Its like if you had to flip a coin and have it land on heads to survive. Twice. In a row.
Also, I have some advice you have probably already heard before by now. The laughing sound effect makes people rage quit a lot, so I wouldn't even bother using it, and putting the scream sound on Mario in a damage boosting level gets on people's nerves pretty fast.
It was a bit grating to me too, but I was able to ignore it in Day turns Night, up until the level became unwinnable of course. Then I just quit.

>>321759705
>Chasing the Crimson Koopa: F7C4-0000-014E-33C9
Really enjoyable for this type of level. You're given enough time to react to things and you see what is coming ahead from the initial run over the level which aids in preventing any deaths that felt unfair.
>>321760282
>Arctic Abyss
Of course of all the ones to randomly pick, I pick a fucking water level. Turned out better than expected, was pretty comfy.
>Ropey Rumpus
The gimmick in this one actually ends up being quite enjoyable and it makes for a lot of very satisfying jumps.
>>321760671
Fun little level, keeps a fair bit of challenge throughout. I'm not sure about the chain chomp placement, but that didn't detract too much from anything so I suppose it's fine.
>>321761913
>Forlorn Factory
Interesting level, my main complaint would be that the method for getting the p-switch is a bit too in-obvious.
>>321770904
Alright, guess I'll have to do things the hard way.
>>321771226
>Steamy Mario was fun. The Bowser fight was done great as well.
Thanks, I always felt Steamy Mario was one of my better stages.
>Day turns Night was fun, but it became impossible to beat. If enough spawns on one screen, you stop getting fire flowers or boots from the pipes.
I might Revamp Day turns Night and change up the boss at the end, since it's one my earlier stages and needs to fit the theme I was going for better. What I really want is Super Mario 1 style Night stages.
>Pain Hall is in expert cause of a single reason. Its too much to deal with at once, and tanking through it isn't guarenteed to work, even though it seems the only way. Its like if you had to flip a coin and have it land on heads to survive. Twice. In a row.
I could just make the Mushrooms into Fire Flowers, it might make bowser easier to get through as well.
As for the laughing sound effects, I tend to use them sparingly with this stage as an exception since it's meant to be about pain, and even though I think the screams and help noises are music to my ears I'll probably remove them too.
I really want to have it so some enemies/hazards make the scream sound when you get hit by them rather than on their death, that way I wouldn't have to map it to mario himself and force the scream everywhere.
Thanks for the advice, good to have constructive feedback over just seeing a bunch of people dying and quitting and not knowing why.

It may shuck outliers that die a lot? For example, Course A has 10 people play it. Everyone but one player clears it without dying, but that last player died so much that it drove the clear rate way low. Because his death/clear ratio is so drastically different from the mean, it's not taken into account when determining difficulty ranking.

How do you feel about the lava sink trap at the end? That's what I'm considering cutting out.

Very fun. Just the right length, and hammer bros feel underused in Mario Maker in general.

You're next.

Haven't made a course since a little after the checkpoint update, so I made this level to incorporate both using and working around the newly added Bumpers. No impossible parts, just tried going for a decent difficulty.Think you can find the hidden shortcut that's sure to tilt the heads of people looking to get the fastest time?

Played Mega Mario's Anniversary Smash, and I have to partially agree with the other guy. The stage looks great, but there are areas with questionable design choices, like a blind drop off ice or Bowser Jr's "I attack you as you spawn from the checkpoint" madness. It's good, but it could have been great.

Turbulence is very fun, but the spring kill discouraged me from taking the bottom path, since the high path is pretty easy.
