I'd play a game with them but I wouldn't play a game where the sexual attractiveness (or lack thereof) of a character was the primary focus.
I mean if it was good. I don't see how it being "about" them could be interesting though. I'd play one with them in it though, ya.
Only if they were ugly in the sense of not actually being ugly. Like Tomoko is. She's drawn cute, but it uses some sort of irony.

If it was a good game. And by about them you mean either featuring them, or about a story that revolves around them. But if it was simply about them being ugly then probably not because that does not sound like a fun premise for a game.

I'd play a GOOD game with an ugly female character but I'm not going to play a game that shoehorns in an ugly character just because it's progressive.
