Not bad and really because it doesnt matters what stick you get as long as its hori, madcatz or maybe back then qanba.
They all have their pros and issues, but this one in particular looks extremely well.
In in the end its just your personal preference and you can mod it anyway so.

Usually, if its hori/madcatz and its pricey its good.
Don't ever go for cheap fightsticks, a good fightstick can last you the entirety of SF5 life span but a shitty could last you a couple months maybe.
Do background research on any model you like and make sure it works for x thing and check it's pros and cons.

I got this on sale for about 120 a week or so ago, it seems pretty nice but I've never owned a stick before so I don't have much reference to go off of.

the spacing between the stick and the buttons are too far apart and semitsu buttons are garbage compared to sanwa buttons. I'm also pretty sure that they don't even use semitsu parts anymore and just use their own hori parts. sure you can replace the buttons but it isn't the only problem. the main problem is that it's too light so it slides around a lot.
I know a lot of people in my scene (so-cal) that hate using that stick. I haven't tried the new TEs yet but the standard TEs are generally great

It has kuro buttons, which are basically black sanwas. There's nothing wrong with seimitsus though, it's pure personal preference

These are people asking for first sticks, not people with years of experience across multiple fighting games that will even notice those subtle differences in stick / button layout. It's an absolutely fine first stick and it was recently on sale in both the US and UK (probably Europe too I assume)

the spacing is uncomfortable because you don't have as much room to rest your wrists on, it's also a problem if you're used to the standard spacing (arcade spacing) it'll fuck up your motions
you haven't noticed it but its a comment sentiment for a lot of people who have used that stick. I know several people who regret getting the stick, but these aren't your average casual player.
If you're just a casual player - which I'm amusing you are - I guess you won't notice the differences. But I still suggest spending a little bit more for the new TEs
and I'm not some brand hating fanboy. The older Hori sticks like pic related are fucking amazing. The new designs are pretty shit.
