There's probably more bullshit I'm forgetting. Media in the west has been snubbing Japan as hard as they could ever since shortly after the 7th gen started. It's been wave after wave of nasty rhetoric all to try and convince players not to purchase Japanese games.
I'll even admit nep games don't deserve better than an 8, and that's with the really good titles like V and V-II.
But there's no denying Persona 5 will be amazing. Atlus is putting a shitton of work into making this game, and it's gonna be spectacular.

Persona is the entrylevel niche at this point. It'll never get the recognition it deserves, but it'll be there for casuals to hold up and pretend they're hardcore nichefags.

I'd skip RB2 if I were you. There's only two ways to enjoy that game.
1. Enjoy shoveling pleb shit into your mouth, because holy shit the cast and story is fucking bad
2. Come in right off of the original game and its horrible gameplay. Original game held itself up with its story and characters, if you go into Mk2/RB2 from there you'll be so amazed at the gigantic improvements in graphics and gameplay that the shit characters won't drag you down the first time through.

A lot of people didn't like HDN's true ending. I'm not one of those people, but RB1 just did it better.
In HDN Arfoire dies and they all give up there powers to lead mortal lives. RB1 has them actually save Arfoire while they all retain their powers.
We even get to see "pure" Arfoire, which would have meant so much more if she were still the true goddess like in HDN. But at least we get to see purefoire to begin with.
