Considering the company that owns the rights to STALKER is making Cassocks 3. The CEO of the company froze progress on STALKER 2 because they where apparently sucking up his UKRAINEBUKS and not making any fucking progress.
If Cossacks 3 does well, which it should because it's basically an HD Cossacks remake. Then we will probably see development start up again. If not, there will probably be a clone of it, especially if Escape from Tarkov does well, that will boost interest in a single player game.

The GSC Game Worlds devs weren't/were barely being paid during their last couple of months before Sergei pretty much made everyone leave.
The day he cancelled STALKER 2 was the day they were revealing the story to the rest of the team too, and they had organized a small party for it.

All three Stalker games are very much a must if you like any of them.
Oh and don't listen to the shitlords that are still stuck with CS 1.0 release version, CS isn't that bad. Especially if you play it with something like Clear Sky Reloaded.
