Current cart:
Age of Empires II
Hard Reset
Dominions 4
Fairy Bloom Freesia
Risk of Rain
Undertale
Dungeon of the Endless: Crystal
Nothing because I had no internet connection during the entire sale.
>>321664946
Only one i've played is undertale (9/10 for me)
Only thing i'd say is do you really need three 4x strategy games? Given the addictiveness and longevity of those games i'd just pick one. Unless your stockpiling till the next sale
should i? is really that bad?
>>321664946
Dominions 4 is one of those read the wiki an awful lot to understand what is going on games. I didnt put more than 2-3 hours in it.
Risk of Rain is fun, few different classes with friends is good times. Multiplayer is a hassle to get into sometimes and i think it requires hamachi
Dungeon of the Endless was really fun for me. Im a big FTL fan and it had that same feel of rng fun to me.
>>321665553
If you like Souls then you'll find it okay. But that's it. Just okay.

Is Grim Dawn worth it? I enjoyed games like Torchlight, Victor Vran and Van Helsing.
It's not on sale, but is the Steam Controller worth a shit at all, especially now that people have had some time with it? I don't have any PC controller at all, and would like something versatile.

>>321666337
Get A PS4 controller or that $150 xbone elite controller
>>321665945
Chivalry is pretty generic. I bought it last year and put like 5 hours into it. Fun for what it is but there's not much to it.
>>321665553
It's great imo, don't listen to butthurt souls faggots
>>321666337
It's versatile in that you can customise it a lot, but it's a bit fidly.

Please recommend me a good platformer that's not Sonic or the any of the usual weel known recs. Preferably 3D but at this point I'd be down with 2D as well.
Keepin it under 20. How's this?
Is grim fandango worth a go? It seems to be praised a lot but I don't know how much of that is peoples nostalgia for it.
>Oh cool [Game] is on sale
>"You already own [Game]"
>Sudden feeling of sadness
What the fuck is wrong with me? I already own the damn game, holy shit.
Anyone else this autistic?
just do it
I heard Dying Light is getting an enhanced edition and if you have the game already, you get it for free.
Is it worth 20 bucks? I heard it fixed some things from the Dead Island games.
Having quite some fun with Shadow Warrior. Quite the achievement that they made a fun, fast paced and skill based FPS game.
Performing sword arts while dashing around like a crazy nigger is the shit.
>>321668698
I can't speak for the other games, but all stars transformed is a great game.
>>321665909
>and i think it requires hamachi
It doesn't, but the host usually needs to open a port for the game on their router. Many people don't know how to do that and it generates problems.
>>321666570
>Get A PS4 controller
Unless you use it for emulation, I always feel like this is a shitty recommendation, since PC games use the button prompts for the XBox controller.
The PS4 controller is the clear winner for fighting games, though.
How is Shadow of Mordor?
How badly does it rape the Tolkien lore?
Hey /v/ what do you think of my current list, should I change something?
- Final Fantasy VII
- Valkyria Chronicles
- Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition
- Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3
- L.A. Noire
>>321669629
it's amazing
Rate my picks.
Already got Skullgirls, downloading right now.
>>321668159
Damn, that's a whole lot of stuff.
Shit that I've played and recommend:
Spec Ops
Super Meat Boy
Risk of Rain
Undertale
Portal 2
Dark Souls 2
Shit that I've played and wouldn't recommend:
Grim Fandango (it's old, didn't age well and you're giving money to Tim Schaffer)
KOTOR (also aged like crap)
Lords of the Fallen (a very poor copy of the DaS games)
Some of the others are give or take. I personally hate the fuck outta Binding of Isaac, thought Spelunky was a bit meh, Rogue Legacy is repetitive and tiresome (though it is good) and Papers Please is way too gimmicky and not all that fun.
>>321666398
Guacamelee and BattleBlock Theater arefun.
Are there any good multiplayer games on sale with a decent and active community?
I just want to play video games with someone else, even if they're just online, I'm so alone...
Is Kingdom of Amalur good? Good enough to get the all dlc edition?
I heard it was decent plus its the product of a bankrupt Curt Schilling which is neat.
>>321665553
it's pretty good,
>>321670110
Killing Floor 2 might interest you?
>>321670178
Probably the most mediocre game I've ever played. Combat is nice but you do pretty much the same shit for more than 40 hours, the plot is meh and the quests are garbage-tier MMO stuff.
>>321670178
Honestly man, I had a fucking blast with it, and sunk like 70 hours into it. Worth imo
>>321665945
I also want to buy Reflex, whats so bad about it? you scared me /v/
>>321670294
He said decent and active.
>>321668159
Portal 2 is good of course. Hotline Miami 2 is probably gonna be cheaper in the next sale.
LISA is good if you're a storyfag but you've got TWAU on there so you probably are. Have you played Telltale's The Walking Dead?

What's wrong with Schafer, i wouldn't trust him with a budget, but he's a friendly enough guy.
I bought ROM for 4 eurs, it claims that it's a cyberpunk adventure and all..but it seems so nice and colourful..did I do something wrong?

The gameplay is a fun execution of standard JRPG stuff.

I just can't tolerate the guy after the absurdity of burning through 3.3 million to make a simple adventure game. It's almost criminal.
And the game did age like crap.
Also most Double Fine games are passable at best, like Costume Quest and Stacker.
They also have a fame on not delivering on their games that went through early access.
Should I buy Dark Souls 2 SotFS? I already own the original but never bought any DLC. Currently 19 bucks. Not sure if the DLC is worth it; I know nothing about it
>>321672876
Oh wow thanks. I liked the aesthetics of this tileset, kind of grabbed my attention, but if there's a free version may as well see if I like the lore/"gameplay"
Thanks anon.

Is the RE5 DLC in Gold good? Does RE5 have online co-op so I can just play with randoms if I find some online, like matchmaking or something?
Any good online game aside from Rocket League? How is Battlefront 2, is the online dead?
>>321673005
The DLC is pretty darn good. Some even say better than the base game, but I enjoyed both equally.
Didn't appreciate the changes from vanilla DaS2 to Scholar in the base game, though.
>>321673487
BF2's servers were shut down. There's some way to play it with a handful of people through another service but it wouldn't be the same.
>>321673413
The RE5 dlc is decent and yes it has online co-op, it's surprisingly easy to find a partner online for such an old game.
>>321673280
Oh, I didn't see that. I was just looking at the listing price. It's actually only 10 bucks to upgrade. Eh, not bad
>>321673146
Holy shit, when did the LBA games come to Steam? How do they run?
i've heard that assassin's creed black flags is the best in the series.
is it worth it to try for someone who has never touched an AC game?
>>321673413
The DLC is pretty good, even adds a versus mode if you can find anyone in your region, though there's a region lock remover mod you can find on PCGW.
Base game has co-op, and a lot of the DLC is co-op oriented. Recent Steam update broke some features (weapon trading) but that region lock remover should fix that as well.
I finally broke down and bought Always Sometimes Monsters for $2.50 because I like narratives.
What am I in for?
>>321673798
Yup
>>321673798
Yes it is worth it, you can even ignore all the bullshit story since the only good part is being a pirate.
THE LONG DARK AND SUBNAUTICA
of course i only had $25 for games this year, but I've put 20 hours into subnautica already and barely scratched the surface, about 10 hours into the long dark and i can tell that's going to be a long haul game too
>>321673762
Win 7.8 is supported according to the requirements, haven't played it yet.
>>321673798
I'd say to play AssCreed 2 first, since it's the best "assassin" AssCreed. Black Flag is the best because the "assassin" stuff takes a back seat to the pirate adventures, and you won't really get why it's good without 2 for context.
>>321672817

it's more than stable and full featured at the moment, I'm not really sure why it's early access aside from it's lacking story mode, which it doesn't even need
>>321673886
pretty good game. It's a bit overdramatic in places which is in contrast with the feel of living day by day hand to mouth

Okay I swapped some stuff around. I should mention that I have steam gift cards totalling 100 bucks so this list is a bit easier to swallow for me.

That's $44, so I'd say no. I'd pay $30 for it (I actually bought it for $60, regrettably) which is 20 pounds
>>321674784
About two weeks ago, just look at the latest reviews, all of them are negative, written by players that have put at least 50+ hours into it and all of them have constructive arguments as to why it's total shit now, if it wasn't already before, it should be the first thing you do before purchasing anything really
Should i do it? 40 dollars, already bought PC cars which is good but 23 bucks i don't know. So that would be like 65 bucks spent on the sale so far. I really don't like buying single player games but after getting a big boy job and getting a bit older it feels better own a game. I usually buy it for cheap off keysites or g2a but still own it.
should i get a fleshlight or games?
Thinking about getting Arma 3. Hesitating because I think it'll run like shit on my first gen i5.
>>321676008

Otherwise, do it.

>>321674678
>>321676223
Played both of them multiple times, never saw a massive amount of bugs (sure sometimes there's a glitch/bug, but what game is completely bugfree?).
It's mainly Unity that shat the bed, 3 also had it's share of problems iirc, but not Unity-levels
On topic are any of the DLC for the older AC games worth it?
I was looking at AC II - The Lost Archives, AC III The King Washington thing and IV - Freedom Cry
>>321675246
alright thank you
then ill probably try does out
>>321673798
I'd say start with AC1 just for the story, atmosphere and a rather accurate feel of how an assassin would do his job, it may get repetetive, yes, but I liked it, doesn't have that sense of stabbing everyone every mission left and right or overwhelming action elements like in revelations.

>>321683425
I had fun doing single and multiplayer runs, my first win was from a multiplayer run too.
In single, you control up to 4 characters, depending on the ship, and in multiplayer, you share a character. You can trade resources, but if you die, you're locked out form playing unless they can find another character for hire on the floor you're at. While dead, you can still turn the power on/off to help them navigate or mitigate the amount of enemies that spawn too. If you don't have a full lobby of 4, one player can also control more than one character too depending on whoever hires the extra character.
>>321683087
If you could get it for 30 bucks maybe

AssCreed & Dungeon of Endless.
The others have their good and bad points, which you can argue for. These two however, are irredeemable. You gain absolutely nothing by playing them; no fun, nothing memorable just the feeling of dread that you spent $15 and you could have gotten the same experience by watching 4mins of gameplay.

hard to say but i liked it, was actually thinking of replaying it now that EE is out.
Any suggestions for base/home building games? I just enjoy building bases and homes that are comfy and useful. I'm fucked aren't I...
Minecraft was ok but I played that to death years ago and can't touch it again.
Starmade has potential but no actual content on planets yet.
Ark is just square corners and the carnivore ai just breaks my immersion (kill anything considered valid targets in sight until dying from cumulative damage received). Otherwise liked it although I haven't touched it since October.
Subnautica was really fun but again not many parts/reasons for creative or bigger bases yet. And resources don't respawn which is irritating.
7Days2Die was okay, but the zombies were insanely sensitive to everything last time I played (which was awhile ago).
Terraria was amazing, but I've played the hell out of that with friends already.
Starbound I'm waiting on them to actually finish the fucking game after friends convinced me to buy it. But last I played there was no reason whatsoever to make more than a temporary shack on a planet.
Planet Explorers was unfinshed as fuck last year when I tried it. Also rain fell through all structures you made no matter what which was pretty lame.
Space Engineers I need to try again, but it felt like there wasn't too much to do beyond building oddball space ships and devices last I played (also ran like ass).
Don't Starve was more about survival over all than fun base building. Just got boring fast.
Grav I didn't get very far in, but the little bit I scratched didn't seem to have a lot of room for fun homes.

I bought Tomb Raider the other day and beat it today. It's really good for $3. it's like playing through an action movie with some puzzles here and there. Didnt expect much but it was actually really fun.
Is curse of the necrodancer any good? I like rogue-like games, but the idea that its set to music rythm makes me worried I'll just be plain bad at it.
>>321688618
You don't need both Agarest games, pick the better one. I got Generation of War 2 and stopped at about 22hrs played. It was way too boring and generic, to the point of being under average. It is a very generic, easy grid strategy game series with minor updates here and there to each sequel.

I got Crypt of the Necrodancer and MGR. I'm actually surprised MGR runs so well. I heard it ran on toasters and it far exceeded my expectations. Doesn't Dragon's Dogma use the same engine? I wonder if that would run well too?I'm tired of that damn letterbox
>>321692292
I have E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy and the Gothic Collection. I should have specified that I like turn-based strategy and despise RTS. I don't purchase games from last decade because many don't run on modern OS. Thanks anyways.
>>321690894
get this war of mine and risk of rain
dont care/know about the others
>>321690690
Oh fuck, you can use your own music?
So a friend and I are tired of LoL, and we both want another game to play that isn't too graphically intensive (we both have slow pc's) but is still really fun coop. We already bought Dont Starve Together which is alright but I want to try something else
>>321691945
Original Bloodrayne games? No. New Bloodrayne indie side scrolling? Yes. Same concept, same character, but easier to handle in an interesting E-Z to play formula.
Double Dragon Neon is the safer choice, tries to mimic original DD and succeeds. Good sound track that achieves a retro vibe, you'd be a cunt not to enjoy it.
I'd go with Side Scrolling Bloodrayne, combat is more satisfying, has more stages and is more varied in the combat, platforming, enemies. Its story is also better told throughout the game rather than just at the start and end.
>>321692682
Yup. Just need to put it in the right folder, have the game "analyze" it so it can set the beats right, and then you can dungeon crawl to whatever you want to hear, though it works best with 4/4 or 3/4 rhythms.
>>321692808
Shit, I've gotta buy it then. Thanks.
>>321692919
Looks like you've got all the good PC games there.
>>321692687
Terraria
E.Y.E
Monaco
I would say awesomenauts (its a simple moba) but they just added a leveling system and I don't know what's going on with it right now. Check it out though I play it casually every now and then.
is resident evil revelations worth the price? only got $13 left and this is the lowest price i seen for it
>>321691570
I actually tried that one as well, it's just insanely early in development at the moment so there's very little to do. And sadly there's no combat to speak of.
>>321692687
>So a friend and I are tired of LoL
>but I want to try something else
Hide the sausage? I dunno bro, anything is better than LOL truthfully and if you want a LOL like ASSFAGGOTS, then your only other choice is Dota.
Go to the Steam page and try out all their F2P games. Tera, Warframe, Path of Exile, Wakfu etc.
>>321688841
Look up crashlands. Isnt released yet but def worth to take a look at it
>>321691876
MAYBE NecroVision. Haven't played it but it looks kinda neat and it's cheap.
Are these 2 any good? cons/pro's?
Loving Pillars of Eternity atm
r8, h8, masturb8?
Could someone help me out?
I was thinking of getting besiege for a family member. He's really into building robots and shit, there's a robotics team at his school, and he enjoys games like mine craft.
Would that be a good gift? He's out of the country, so he won't care that I'm a bit late on the Xmas gift lol.
>>321668159

>>321693880
>>321682065
Thinking of getting Pillars of Eternity, how is it?
>>321693973
besiege is kinda fun, but very simple he might enjoy something like space engineers more.
>>321693953
Satellite Reign's controls are kinda ass.
>>321668159
get the civ 5/skyrim goty editions, and other games i didnt check
>>321693553
>>321689175
Half the problem is these things are always early access. One of those things where they implement barebones things to be filled in later, but than focus on something else and never add the content.
Thanks, Crashlands does look interesting, I'll just add it on the wishlist.
>>321689329
That actually looks kind of fun, I'll have to look into it and see how complete it is.
>>321675523
buy skyrim of course
black flag for an AC game is actually quite nice but it can feel more of the same
mark of the ninja is really cool do buy
spec ops, story is good gameplay is good too would most recommed for that price
wolf among us interesting and intriguing story and concept, no gameplay of course
witcher- 1st one good story better than the 2nd band gameplay, the improvens in every point variable story
portal 2, if you played the 1st this is more of the same but even longer would not recommend
>>321694570
Really good, its a lot of reading though if you're up for that: wordswordswordswordswords, but I don't mind.
Combat is at times really dull and at other times really challenging. Its also one of the few games where the characters you meet are actually pretty interesting/fun to have around
>>321669670
LA Noire wasn't that great honestly, it felt quite underwhelming
>>321694628
What's wrong with them?
>>321687776
Any other opinion guys? About Age of Wonders 3?
>>321693880
Help, is sword coast legends even close to the level of pillars of eternity?
Is ori the blind forest a meme game?
>tfw bought KOTOR 2 because I've never played it
>it just won't ever launch
Fucking kill me.
>>321695375
Age of Wonders 3 is like a really really shitty civ with badly forced rpg elements.
>>321695397
>meme game
We've got some profoundly stupid fucking faggots on /v/ nowadays.
>>321694702
If u want some feels you should check the story behind the origin of crashlands
>[H] Lego Batman
>[W] Transistor
or
hotline 2
doorkickers
Gunpoint
Luftwausers
Stanley Parable
Life is Strange

>>321673691
prob because it was part of the humble bundle recently
any good alive multiplayer games besides cs, 100â„… oj, rocket league on sale? I'd play survival shit if there's one with a competent dev team
>>321688841
Rust?
>>321696104

>>321696104

>>321675523
skyrim, civ 5 and rebirth you should get with their dlc
>>321668872
I'm trying to convince my friend to get this shit.
Buying bioshock 1/2 and either new order or old blood.
Probably getting a saint's row because I love open worlds with powerups and shit. Should I just get one of 2/3/4 or is it worth buying the series bundle for 15 bucks?
>>321695510
Can you elaborate please? Also, which other game can you recommend me? (I've Endless Legend and CivV)
Is Verdun any fun?
anything you'd recommend for a casul who mainly enjoys multiplayer stuff? I can't seem to get in to much recently, last thing I truly enjoyed was playing FO1 and 2 last month
Currently have
Ikaruga
I Didn't Ask For This
System Shock 2
Mount and Blade Warband
in my cart. Not sure what to add or drop. Would like to go into CRPG's or strategy games but any game I've tried in either has left me feeling uninterested
if I buy borderlands 2 goty and choose to add it to my inventory, is it going to be the main game and the dlc separatedly or its going to be a single item on my inventory
>>321670783
WENA CULIAO
>>321694598
Alright, cool. I'll check that one too. Thanks, anon.

>>321695721
>>321695721
bump..
there must be a batman fan out there..
>>321696243
I actually thought about that, just almost every review talks about naked men destroying/stealing their progress or killing each them. If I wanted that I'd just move to africa.
>>321697340
Don't bother.
Sword Coast is complete shit. As an RPG, it's basically just straight D&D with nothing unique to set it apart. As a Dungeon Master toolkit, it's barebones as fuck and offers even less than NWN1 (not to mention the SCL devs are nickel and diming DLC with it), and for multiplayer it mostly boils down to generic dungeon crawling.
Just get NWN1/2 complete packs if you want decent RPGs after PoE.
>>321698702
kek
>>321697856
pls respond ;_;
>>321683756
Yeah I can get it for pretty much free through Steam wallet money and some visa gift cards. Just don't want to waste it on a game I'm not going to enjoy solo queuing in.
Has anyone played Blade Symphony? Is is dead?
Megabyte Punch and Luckslinger are both really good if you're looking for cheap hidden gems. I'd also recommend Proxy Blade Zero and Gunman Clive if they're on sale.
>>321699161
Haven't played it for months, think it was still alive then, in Europe at least.
How good is Distance? It looks like a Tron F-Zero
>>321679958
Toxikk is dead as fuck m80.
Any good local multiplayer games for cheap?
>>321700158
Particle Mace?
r8 my potential purchases
Way of The Samurai 4 is nice
Any alternatives?
>>321700451
This looks fun, thanks anon.
Does anyone know if you can claim the tomb raider 2013 goty on top of the regular one?

>>321700843

>>321701551
It has a pretty decent amount of people playing. The addon is pretty dead from what I've heard, though.

>System Shock 2 I haven't played ityet

>>321701684
Orange Juice should be fun with friends
Doorkickers is good for that price
>>321675726
>Hyperdimension Neptunia
Is it fun?
Should I?
>>321701835
Warband is GOAT
Didn't like Ikaruga, but I guess that's just not my kind of game
My entry to grand strategy was Crusader Kings 2, try that or Europa Universalis 4. They're both hard to get into at first, but not that hard when you learn to play. you can also pirate the dlc for them on /gsg/
Civ 5 complete is good if you want a turn based 4X game
XCOM Enemy Within is great, though I guess that's more of an SRPG
>>321703062
yes, assuming you have a friend to play 5 and 6 with
What's a good game around ~$20?
Maybe something JRPG ish?
