In terms of hardware, they're so similar that it almost doesn't matter. The PS4 might have some kind of slight edge, but if so it probably isn't being taken advantage of.
However, they are different enough that when third party developers design games, they usually have one of them set as the primary platform, and the game is best optimized for that one. Typically this ends up being the PS4.
Neither has a significant advantage in terms of exclusives. The XBOX has Halo, the PS4 has Bloodborne, and they both have a handful of other games that no body cares about.
In the end, I only ever play my PC, handhelds and sometimes my WiiU.

What does the PS4 honestly have outside of Bloodborne? I'm legitimately asking. The new Infamous game was alright, I guess. What else is there? HD ports of PS3 games I've already played and still own, and arguably better versions of multiplats. Yay. Not really. The Forza series is pretty good if you like racers, particularly Horizon 2. They've only got better as time went on. Crimson Dragon's pretty good, especially considering all the nasty rumors about it. The new KI is good, too, despite the paywall, which even with it, all of the game's content is 50 bucks, the price of a new game anyway. Sunset Overdrive is actually a really great sandbox game if you can get past the writing. Screamride is probably the best park sim game I've played in a while.Shame about the new Zoo Tycoon, though.And Rare Replay is probably the best game collection to be released since that Genesis collection from last gen.
The Bone has plenty going for it right now, the only reason people get PS4s is because of Micro$oft's incredible fuck-up at E3 and that it has slightly better multiplats.
