Hello, /v/
Playing anything fun next week? Or maybe you're starting something new next year?
Stopped my VC playthrough to play Undertale since someone gifted it to me. I don't usually share /v/'s opinion of "everything popular is also bad" but even I can't see what the buzz is about. It's well written I'll give it that, the soundtrack is great and the gameplay is novel, but this just doesn't feel like the groundbreaking classic it's made to be.
I just got to the epilogue of Super Mustery Dungeon, and all my energy to continue is sapped.
I started Grim Fandango yesterday. Few years ago I stopped after leaving the beginning city for some reason, so this time I'll complete it.
Also started playing M&L Partners in Time, don't like it as much as Bowsers Inside Story, but I'm just like 3 hours in.

>but this just doesn't feel like the groundbreaking classic it's made to be
A lot of the buzz probably comes from the very successful marketing rather than the game being amazing. I wouldn't worry too much, it'll fade into obscurity and be a nice memory for the fanbase in a year's time.
I thought it was okay, the ideas it played with were interesting. Hope the ideas for combat are experimented with some more, though.

Why sapped?
>>321647005
Because the ending makes things wrong, and I don't know/want to spoil if the epilogue makes it right.
>>321646869
Sounds like you've a bit of a log to get through. Have fun with Grim Fandango.
>>321647174
Ah, fair enough. How long is the epilogue?
>>321648030
In past PMD games the postgame story is about as long as the main story, which is pretty lengthy by itself.
>>321648486
Oh wow. Understandable you're kind of sapped going into the epilogue, then.
>>321646089
Just bloodborne because Demon's Souls' servers are on life support
I was having a comfy time in Rust. I stumbled upon these two guys in a shitty house they made. I approached in a non threatening way and sad I was friendly etc. etc. They build me a room in their house and take in, and we gather resources and prosper together. One of them leaves so it's just me and the other guy. We went out searching for cloth and can see 3 or 4 guys cresting a hill with full armour and guns.
Oh shit. jaypeg
Basically I got my shit kicked in.
>>321648634
I've been bingeing it and the ending was a real sucker punch, that's why.
I've got to play something else on my2_DS for a while.
>>321648647
>Servers
There's still multiplayer for it?
>>321648812
Yeah but good luck finding anyone else.
>tfw euro version is completely barren
>>321646089
I finished Call of Juarez Bound in Blood yesterday. Good game, though having to help Ray climb all the god damn time got annoying.
I'm a bit tired of shooters right now (played Extraction Point last week) so I might try something slower next. Maybe Talos Principle or the Blade Runner game.
>>321649056
Blade Runner is a great point and click adventure, prepare to get comfy.
>>321648782
Sounds like an average session of Rust.
>>321648796
Yeah, figures. Hopefully the epilogue fixes things somewhat.
>>321648903
Amazing. It's still fascinating to me that EverQuest and Ultima Online still has servers up.
>>321649056
Apparently Talos Principle is pretty solid, according to other anons throughout other threads.
>>321649147
I'm getting pretty sick of RPGs and similar on my 2DS, what else should I get?
>>321649210
No idea. Haven't played handheld in years.
>>321649147
Do you play Rust?
>>321649523
Have tried it a few times. First person survival games aren't really my jam, though.
I want a new game to play, but can't find anything to hold my interest. Was tempted by Assassin's Creed Syndicate, since it is on sale on Steam, but I never end up finishing those games.
>>321650145
Rust, I'll play with you
>>321650145
What kind of game are you looking for?
I'm gonna go play work, then get home this evening and yell at my teammates in Insurgency while trying not to freeze my ass off
I'm really getting into this comfiness thing
>>321650239
Single player primarily, with a big world to explore. Preferably something where I can make my own character (not just customizing an existing character, like Witcher). Some kind of action-based combat.
>>321650534
i have problems playing just one game so i made a list to keep track of all my play throughs
Im making my way through Dark Souls 2 Sotfs and while it's good. I'm having a lot of trouble adjusting to the mechanics coming from Bloodborne.
I also am trying to wrap up the trophies for Fallout 4 but God damn after 30 hours it's boring as shit.
>>321650534
dark souls
>>321650695
I'd honestly recommend Undertale to go first; it's short as hell.
>>321650534
Obligatory TES and Fallout response. Fallout: New Vegas is great if you can excuse the gunplay being poor.
The Souls games are supposedly great for this once you get over the difficulty curve, too.
>>321650695
Why not finish one, then start another?
Started playing The Nathan Drake Collection, is surprisingly fun. Also finishing my 2nd play through of the Last of Us.
>>321650693
I've played it, and most of the other games in the franchise/Bloodborne.
I do enjoy them though.
>>321650904
Already played all of that stuff, unfortunately. Those are my favorite sort of games.
I may be SOL until the Dragon's Dogma PC port comes out. I've played that too, but I'm definitely going to replay it on PC.
>>321651090
Play Xenoblade Chronicles
>>321651165
I have, also X. They're really good, though I'm not a big fan of the combat.
>>321650904
its a problem i have, where maybe i dont want to play PoE so i play axiom verge, but maybe i actually dont want to do that or it gets frustrating, so then i play star wars
i've only recently made this list on steam and its helped me a ton, because im super bad at actually finishing games
>>321651284
While it doesn't have visual character customisation, have you played Gothic 3?
I'm about to beat W101. Might beat it tonight
>>321651284
Already played FFXII? GTA and it's clones?
my graphics card is coming this week, im gonna play BF4 with my 2 friends
this was the last graphics card i had, and also the only graphics card ive ever had. it performed surprisingly well.
I think i'll play homeworld 1+2 if i can free up enough space on my windows partition.
