I got it on Christmas eve and I haven't touched Smash voluntarily. Only when friends ask me if they want to play. Splatoon is fun as fuck and I really hope there's a sequel later on. Just remember it's a kids game and that there are little ones playing. That doesn't fucking excuse the damn level 48 players fucking getting 600p and under. Makes me hope that some guy is just letting his little bro play or something.

How the fuck do I get good in this game? I'm at level 11 and my main weapon is the Heavy Splatling. It seems like my teammates are fucking retarded all the time and the other team is the most organized groups of nips ever to grace this earth. Whenever I start to turn things around I get decimated by anything, be it the Aerosplat or just the fucking splattershot.

Splattershot Jr. is one of the most balanced weapons in the game. It's only issue is lack of range and the nerfs to the Bubbler that now turn you into a ping pong ball if shot at.

Unlike some other games, the weapon unlock system doesn't really give you outright better weapons as you progress, as almost everything is viable in one way or another. Sticking with the Jr. is nothing to be ashamed of, except some call it a crutch weapon due to the special.

The custom's sub is the disruptor. You throw it at an enemy squid, and it seriously slows them down. It also slows down their ink recovery and makes them blink while they're swimming so they can't hide. Throw it at enemy squids to cripple them, so that you or your teammates can take them out.
The general opinion regarding the custom ssj is that without bubbler, the ssj isn't very good because its low range and accuracy make it bad at combat, while there are already other weapons that ink better. Some people seem to like it though, so try it out if you want.

Custom is nice support. Disruptors are amazing subs, one of the bests to use. It makes a person completely vulnerable so if you use it around a teammate, you can get an easy kill. Echolocater is always useful. The regular Splatershot Jr. is just really good on everything else but range.

One thing I love about Splatoon is that it doesn't encourage you to go looking for someone to kill. If someone just so happens to show up in your way, its best to get rid of them so you can continue your job.
This is the single most rage inducing game I have ever played.

Maintaining control of the map and knowing when to go in or fall back is more important than knowing how to aim.
