I just bought a second-hand 500gb Super Slim PS3. Good idea y/n? Should I have bought a slim instead?

I own one, it works fine and it's easy to transport. There might be an overheating problem but I've never had it.
>>
what the hell is a super slim ps3
>>
>>321591084
Dude, there's literally a picture of one
>>
>>321590792
its fine. Superslim is uglier and feels like cheap shit but plays your games so what's to complain about?
>>
>>321591031
Really? Aww shit. Why does it feels like PS3s are as unreliable as fuck?
>>
>>321591140
No shit but when and why was it even released?
>>
im on my 4th ps3 had 2 fat and 2 slims. wish the super slim was around when i got mine. it just seems too simple to fuck up.
>>
>>321591285
i dont remember the exact date when it was released but for why it was released is probably its cheaper to manufacture and still make a nice profit
>>
>>321591152
Like 3 years ago? It's cheaper to manufacture and also smaller

>>321591538
Well, that makes me feel a little better, weirdly. We'll see!
>>
>>321590792
You'd probably never need 500 gigs. You probably could have found a 120GB PS3 for cheaper.
>>
Should have gotten a fat PS3 for ps2/psx backwards compatibility.
>>
>>321591701
Doesn't the PS3 require game installs?
>>
>>321591909
Not for all games. Some games like Metal Gear Solid 4 recommend it to improve load times, but I can't think of any games that explicitly require it.
>>
>>321591909
Some games require installation. You can also download games from the PSN. While you probably did not need 500 gigs, it doesn't hurt to have it.
>>
>>321591756
But aren't they unreliable as fuck, and as big as a house?

I own one and it's great, maybe a little noisy but that's it.

However I regret not buying a fat or slim one because of piracy.

Maybe someone will crack this shit but I doubt it.

They're beefy, but why would you be lugging around a console? I've had a fat one since launch and haven't had any problems regarding reliability.

You're also missing out on what >>321592296 said.
>>
>>321590792
You could probably have bought a new one for just a little bit more.
>>
>>321592459
I seriously doubt it. Have you seen the prices of new PS3s? Also, I got it cheap, and people are doing firesales as last-gen is finished
