taris itself sucks but saving levels so you can use em for your jedi levels later is the best feeling in any rpg. the lowest I was able to beat the rancor at the end was level 3. Shit was down to the line.

Taris is honestly the best part. It's like a complete story all by itself.
Progressing down the food chain into hell, swoop racing, choosing a gang to play against the other, ditching that bounty hunter as the planet is blown to bits, I can't think of a better world in either game.
The only real negative is the level design which gets cumbersome to backtrack.

Holy shit you can sneak past the Rancor, kite him with party member, or put a bomb in his food. Sorry there is no Skyrim quest marker for you but the game is not hard try using your brain for five seconds.
according to my starwar nerd fans, the first one is decent, but the second is better in everyway and you don't need to play the first because it's a whole different story. Maybe give that a shot instead? Also, blasters suck just like in the movies, focus on a strong melee build

I played the game for a few hours, hated it and dropped it for over a year.
Eventually I was in a thread where someone told me there was a mod to skip Taris. I installed it and loved the rest of the game, but I would have never gotten there without that mod.
