There is one sorta in the form of American Nightmare, but Alan Wake 2 is pretty much confirmed by this video.

Sam Lake straight up said yes to a sequel recently.
>>321554235
>Why no sequel?
Here's an explanation:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qm8PP-Ic240
The video in >>321554784 is more recent, but I haven't watched it.
I'm sure there will be a sequel eventually, but they've been working on other stuff, and it's hard to get funding for a game which aspires to be anything more than generic crap.

I haven't seen these either. Thanks for posting.

Might have to get quantum break now. The hype I had for alan wake is waking back up.
>>321555438
I feel the same
>>321555173
>dinosaurs in Quantum Break confirmed
what
>>321555438just like the dark presence will be
>>321554235
its called american nightmare and its better than the first.
>>321556185
>better than the first.
The combat is better. More guns, more enemy types, and that fucking arcade mode.
The story and the characters are much worse. And yet, I almost feel like it was intentionally bad. The whole thing was obviously meant to be campy. Every single woman in the game is a slut, even the scientist chick.
The soundtrack was bad too, and there's no excuse for that.
>>321554235
>its not a lake, it's an ocean
>WOW DEEP GAME I LOVED IT
Fucking garbage
>>321555153
>they've been working on other stuff,
You mean that MIA game "Quantum Break"?
it's boring
>>321556624
That part wasn't meant to be deep, unless you're making a bad pun about oceans. If you get defensive and sarcastically say "WOW SO DEEP" every time you hear a metaphor, you might be stupid.
>>321556639
Yeah, I heard it was delayed. But it's not like it's vaporware. It sounds like the game is almost done. See the video in >>321554857
AAAAAAAAAAAND NOOOOOOOOW TOOO SEEEEEEE YOOOOOOOUUUUUUUR LOOOOOOOVEEEEE SEEEEEEEEET FREEEEEEEEEEEE
>>321554235
Quantum break will do for now.
>>321556801
Why are you doing that?
>the fucking concert
>>321556873
YOOOOOOOOUUUU'LLL NEEEEEEED THE WIIIIIITTTTTCCCCH'S CAAAAAAABIIIIIIIIIN KEEEEEEEEEEEY
>>321556938
Was about to post this. What a memorable moment
>>321557069
FIND THE LADY OF THE LIGHT GONE MAD WITH THE NIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT, THAT'S HOW YOU RESHAPE DESTINY
>>321554235
>Point flashlight on enemy
>Bzzzz *pop*
>Shoot it three times and move on
The concept was okay but got fucking boring in a few hours in.
>>321554857
>>321555153
>that accent
>>321557329
That's true.
But I guess if you didn't like the story enough to keep going then you were playing the wrong game. The story was really the whole point; it seems like Remedy's goal is to make great interactive fiction, not games that you can play for 100 hours.
>>321554235
I don't really mean to start a war, but wasn't Alan Wake the game that didn't really make them a profit until they released it on PC? I think I remember reading some articles about it.
Only played it on X360 and it was a great game.
>>321557292
love me some POTF
>>321557427
>>321557943
Best song.
>>321557874
Yes, in part because their original Max Payne fanbase was on PCs and was initially expecting it to arrive there, in part because the Xbox 360 crowd isn't there much for moody and story heavy games. It sold more in a month on PC than it had in its entire 360 run.
>>321557329
It really is the poster child for great story, crappy gameplay.
>>321558769
That's interesting. That might also be the reason why Sam answered with "yes" when he was asked "do you want Quantum Break to come to PC?"
>>321558924
Yeah. I think his heart and everyone else's really is on PCs, but they need a big publisher to fund these sort of games and Microsfot seems happy to oblige, so why bite a hand willing to feed you.
>>321554235
I feel like Remedy is one of those developers that are constantly on life support and we can hear about their closure anytime
>>321559142
Why?
Even if you're right, they've developed enough of a reputation that they could easily fund any game on Kickstarter at any moment. I hope they don't resort to this, but they could.
>>321558847
> "STEVE KANG ONCE SAID"
> great story
>>321559417
They sold Max Payne, probably because they were in need of cash.
Then they make Alan Wake, wasn't a huge success, which I imagine Microsoft wasn't happy about.
Now Quantum Break, which, honestly, I don't see hype about anywhere. I just don't see it moving good sales numbers.
>>321554235
I watched my friend play about 45 minutes of it and told him to turn it off after
>we're up here in this place so i can cool down and get my mind off stuff and relax man this is gonna be enjoyable
>i'm your dumb bitch of a wife and i brought a typewriter for you!!!!!!! because i don't listen to a word you fucking say! i know best!
I hope she fucking dies. Does she? You can spoil me on it, I'm never going to play any trash where a woman doesn't listen to her man.
>>321560064
damn dude that is some serious autism
how often do you interact with people irl?
anyway the ending doesn't explain anything at all.
>>321557572
as a finnish person its kinda embarassing to listen finns speak english
>>321554857
Fuck I completely somehow.missed this. This is fucking awesome.
>>321555173
Sam Lake seems like a pretty cool dude..
hope this game does well enough for them to make Alan Wake 2
>>321559142
That's sad. Remedy and Westwood are probably.my favourite developers ever. Every game they make is a classic
>>321560320
Ilkka Villi's english is excelent. And I mean his real english, not the Alan Wake version.
>>321560064
You retard.
Alan Wake, the character, is canonically a douchebag with anger management issues. He is a flawed character. His wife is not perfect either, but she was only trying to save his sinking career. She booked the vacation to Bright Falls specifically to get him writing again. Was it honest? No. But at least she tried. Meanwhile he was getting drunk and beating up paparazzi. She doesn't die; Alan saves her and ends up trapped in her place.
>>321562426
Sometimes a man knows whats best, and even if he doesn't, SHE should try to be a writer if she wants so much damn money. Gold digging non-listening harlot.
>>321562575
>I didn't play the game but let me tell you about the characters
Okay :)
