This game was ruthless, I feel you OP. Especially the damn skydiving on to a moving platform in water. Pure hell. Finally did beat it though.

That game was fucking awesome. How old were you then? I don't remember it being that hard.
The only game in recent memory I haven't beaten is Grandia 3 and only because I go fucking mad with its bullshit difficulty curveball encounters and points of no return that I broke the disc to make sure I don't stumble upon it in the far future and go "huh, don't remember playing this, let's do it".
As a rule, I finish everything I start and I've broken that maybe 3 or 4 times in my adult life. Obscure Commodore 64 shit I played when I was in diapers don't count. I even beat the NES TMNT game, I used to do the Dam level for fun.
