actually I have no problems with PSX games and GC games. Those are both hooked up and I have no qualms.

Play on a CRT instead, if you cant for some reason, download OPL + GS mode selector and make it output 720p, wont look as good as an actual higher rez but it will look much better than 480i on an HDTV

There's no point in even playing it, then, man. It won't look half as good and doesn't take into consideration that the developers were targeting CRT color profiles and resolution specifically. Don't even bother. Just go to a yard sale or something and any CRT you get will look just as good as you remember it.

In well designed audio engine, the sound can be located anywhere in the stereo field. Surround speakers just sound fake and inconsistent.

The games run in 640x480 at best. Normal CRT televisions don't go above that either.
I mean, even during the PS2 times, PC gamers have always found this crummy because they have used better displays for years.

I 100% agree with this, especially with video games. But I like it. Dark Cloud does stereo well but .hack sounds off.
