Well, a lot of fantasy universes have magic to replace modern medicine, and various other divine or wizardly conveniences to replace a lot of technology.
I'd miss vidya and tv though for real.
Pic unrelated but I'd find TeS universe pretty damn comfy. Even if you don't have a lot of prestige or power it seems like you can hit the books and study magicka and become reasonably competent with it.
Dundorma's got a nice vibe to it, and the city's constantly bombarded by elder dragons so you're never out of a job.

That would have required effort on Bethesda's part. So instead we got a guildline that was five quests long and barely actually involved the other students, favoring making the player go into various Draugr filled dungeons. The only cool part was facing Morokei for the first time.

Balmora is best town.
Even the small houses are comfy as fuck.
The only problem is there's no toilets in the Morrowind universe, you'd have to leave town to shit in the woods like an animal or an Indian.
