Originally they were going to use a fuckload of different mythologies on god of war 3. You'd have the egyptian, greek and nordic gods battling for the world, but they scrapped it since it wouldn't fit into one game.
The only purpose of the aberration that was ascension was to show that egyptian temple and the prophecy about a new journey after the end.
Personally I don't even know if it's going to be god of war or about kratos, they could potentially use his daughter now that the souls are free or a new protagonist but in the same universe.

I guess this is kind of debatable. People mostly use the blades in God of War, so it made sense to streamline that stuff ambit and leavemother weapons for the multiplayer.

I'm on two thoughts about this. On one had itmlimist your initial moveset, yeah; but on the other hand it prettymmuch forces you to play well, to go out of your way to learn your enemies and play competently. It gives a full rage meter more value.

Now this is just flat out wrong. The story was a step up after the nonsense of 3, and not only is Ascínsion's color pallette and general art design much, much better than 3s, it is unquestionably the best looking video game on all of PS3.

Ascension makes items absolutely essential in combat and you will constantly get your teeth kicked in until you don't remembermto use them. And the magic system was overhauledmfor the better, there's no longer any point of not having a clear indication of how much magic power you have after Ascension. Four total magic bars after unlocks, one spell uses one block, withnfour spells in total to switch between is PERFECT.
