The weekly events they do try to keep it fresh, but if the quality of the podcasts and recent videos is any indication, I forsee the channel not being able to sustain all four for much longer. Take the FFX playthrough. You have two grown men in their thirties (or almost) struggling in a children's game most people beat and mastered at age 12. They are actively using a guide but still can't get decent footage outside of trying to push gags like "Bleetzballll" "I'm hungry!". How about trying to discuss the game or the series or your feelings about it other than try and spout jokes. The best videos they have these days are the fun one-offs like Huntin and Killin or Bestfriendvania. Instead of maybe putting efforts into expanding those and making memorable content, it has to be 90% new releases they are shit at to try and lure in some click-bait. Go back and watch the podcasts and see how games are slowly being pushed further and further out as they discuss movies and TV, desperately trying to diversify because they see the iceberg coming. The problem is, they don't do it effectively. They want to be the next James Rolf or Redlettermedia but they just don't have the talent or knowledge set. I like both FFVIII and BlazBlue, and I like both quite a lot. With FFVIII Woolie and Liam were clearly having fun with it and still playing the game, despite the joke. With BlazBlue, they're just sitting there talking about it while watching dialogue boxes/cutscenes. They aren't even shitty on it, just talking about it, that's it.
