I like Fuan no Tane because a lot of the time the ghosts/monsters don't even end up hurting the person they're messing with and it seems like they're just fucking with them out of boredom.

It's not so much about the classes in Path of Exile, the class really just gives you a starting position on the passive skill tree.
It's how you build your character when it comes in to survivability, there are many methods to keep yourself alive (some don't even require healing potions) when it comes to PoE

You should hit up the PoE forums my man, they're actually pretty good for getting your bearings.
I would highly recommend following a build for your first character (you can find tons of popular ones on the PoE forum) so you can sorta fully flesh out your understanding of the game and its system. Then you can apply that knowledge to your own build and have a field day with it.
Japanese ghosts are either creepy but harmless or just plain fucking spiteful. Some are fine just messing around with you but others will kill you for dumbest fucking reasons.
