Heres the rub
Place a data prob to get rid of the fog of war surrounding an area, this lets you see if there is a tyrant bounty, treasure, or mission in that area.
Each probe starts basic but you can change them to one of 3 types using the gamepad.
Mining probe-mine miridium
Research probe-generates credits
Support probe-storage probes so you can hold more miridium at once and dupe probes to duplicate an adjacent probe
Each probe sight has a lattice connecting to another probe, and if you have 3 or more of the same type of probe on connecting sites you get a boost. Put your mining probes together and your storage probes together, lament the fact that you dont have enough data probes to get a good chain going.
Each site can have something on it, either precious materials or scenic views, put mining probs on sites with rare material and reasearch probes on sites with scenic views. Prioritize rare mats as money is piss easy to make anyway and chaining mining probes will net you good miridium and precious material returns
This is just what I got from playing and I didnt read the manual, they tell you most through diolouge and those tutorial windows.

My fighting style includes Skell and ground fight.
I grant my allies defense buff, then fight in my skell until Murderess or sometimes Lin uses a Debuff Soul Voice. Then I use Brainjack on my ennemy, activate overdrive and cast servant sacrifice until my servant dies.
Besides my TP points get fully restored.
